1914 – Electric Vehicle Men Meet on Roof

On June 26, 1914, The Washington Times reported the June 1914 meeting of the Washington section of the Electric Vehicle Association of America. The EVAA meeting was held on the roof of the Pepco building at 14th and C Streets. “Nearly half a hundred members and guests were present.”

“A paper on Motor Truck Operation was read by Walter Metz of the Government Printing Office. He gave a detailed description of the motor truck system used by the largest printing office in the world, and illustrated his paper with motion pictures of the Government Printing Office garage, charging equipment, etc.”
